Cardi B celebrated the launch of her new fashion line with Fashion Nova at a star-studded part in Los Angeles. Cardi invited female hip-hop performers like City Girls, Saweetie, Brianna Perry, and Dream Doll, and also closed out the show performing a string of her hits. The launch party was hugely successful, drawing a big online viewership and even selling out her entire Fashion Nova Line within hours. But in the midst of all of the good news for Cardi, some drama was brewing behind the scenes at the event.
Rappers Iggy Azalea and Bhad Bhabie bumped heads at the event, with Bhad Bhabie even resorting to tossing a drink at Iggy. Iggy Azalea appeared to diffuse herself from the situation, and addressed the confrontation on social media telling Bhad Bhabie “you look silly – I’m not going to be scrambling around on the floor with a 15 year-old girl for the internet.” She definitely took the high road here, and rightly so.
Now the rapper Cupcakke pulled out of the show at the last minute, and took to social media to blast the organizers of the event, stating that they diminished her time slot in favor of other acts. This tweet however spawned a big social media snafu between her an upcoming female rapper MariahLynn, who responded by questioning her decision to pull out of the event. Cardi B eventually extend an olive branch to both ladies, clarifying that the time limitations were due to live-streaming logistics and also proclaiming her appreciation for both artists.
