Nicki Minaj Gets Sued by Tracy Chapman…and Atlantic Records?!

Nicki Minaj is currently facing some legal trouble after sampling the folk singer, Tracy Chapman’s song “Baby Can I Hold You.” Nicki recorded the song with Nas and titled it “Sorry”, intending it to be the standout record for her fourth studio-album Queen.” Tracy rejected Nicki’s request to use the song so it ended up being tossed off her album. Nicki’s team allegedly leaked the song to DJ Funk Master Flex, and Tracy is now suing her for releasing her music without her consent. Is Atlantic Records, the label for Tracy Chapman and *cough, cough* Cardi B, somehow behind this lawsuit? Check out the video above for the deets.
